EMERGENCY HOUSING

A much needed missing resource in our area.

We have a vision

The Center of Hope's Emergency Housing project  is a critical expansion of our mission to serve individuals and families in crisis in Genesee and surrounding counties. This initiative will provide immediate, short-term shelter and long-term transitional housing for women and children experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, or other destabilizing life events.

The initial phase of this project

is two fully furnished apartments offering safe, dignified emergency housing for mothers and their children. These units will serve as a vital first step out of crisis and into stability, providing a calm and secure space for families to regroup, access wraparound services, and begin rebuilding.

Beyond emergency shelter, the project includes two larger residential homes designed to support longer-term recovery and growth. One will serve as transitional housing for women progressing toward independence, while another will house women facing more complex challenges. Each home will be staffed and supported through a comprehensive care model, which includes case management, parenting classes, life-skills training, and access to food, clothing, and emotional support. This project isn’t just about shelter, it’s about giving women and children a path forward, rooted in compassion, dignity, and hope.
